Freedom Through Education

Even after 65 years of independence, Millions of Indian children have never, ever been to school. Illiteracy is a self-fulfilling curse that perpetuates the chain of poverty, degradation and child labor. To reach out to this group of underprivileged children, since the year 1996, RTI across the country started adopting projects aimed at providing quality school infrastructure, and then in 1998 this project was formalized and thus born the National Project of Round Table India "Freedom Through Education" - In pursuit of educating underprivileged children. GRT308, is actively pursuing the National Initiative.

RTI Week

RTI Week is an annual affair of Round Table India, where all table across India carry out Service Activities in sphere like Blood Donation, Limb Donation, Old Age Home, Celebrate with Under Privileged, Swachh Bharat, Go Green Initiative etc in the month of November. GRT308 in 2017, collected 200+ Units of Blood, Planted 200+ Trees, Installed Toilets, Conducted Sessions on "Good Touch Bad Touch" in schools, Installed Exercise Appratus at a School for Differently Abled, Organized Art Competition on Social Topics to spread awareness among children and more under this initiative.

About Us

The founder, Louis Marchesi, was a young member of norwich rotary Club who felt a need existed for a club where the young business men of the town could gather, on a regular basis. At their meetings they could exchange ideas, learn from the experiences of their colleagues and play a collective part in the civic life of Norwich. within a year of inception the membership of this Round Tables elsewhere.

After 1945 the pattern of growth was rapidly re-established with Tables being 'chartered' all over the UK. Today there are about 900 Tables with a membership of of around 10,000.

Fellowship

FELLOWSHIP is one of the corner-stones on which the Tabling movement is built; it is Friendship, it is Honesty with your peers, it is enlargement of perspective, and it is also the force behind the similarity of roots. It is not a ritual or an end in itself; it is the means to a larger purpose in life. When one enjoys the company of their friends, the group can achieve wonders in performing Community Service.

LAPD

Every person who joins the Tabling movement benefits from it, in tangible and intangible ways. It can be through the avenues of Community Service, through the bonds of Friendship and Fellowship that last a lifetime, or through the self-development and leadership that interaction with peers does brings about. HRD helps hone the development of Tablers and is now an important facet of the Tabling setup.

Extension

Round Table India is a network of inspired members who extend and transform their passions to bring about a positive change in the lives of needy people.

Publicity

Round Table India is primarily a Fellowship organisation which is also involved in social service. Our Motto is Freedom Through Education, which provides us a platform to be recognised in building schools for the children at places where it is most required. We have spent around Rs.75/- crores in various school projects all over India in the last eight years and have built more than 2500 classrooms.

Fund Raising

Fundraising is vital to every Tabler. To support all the service oriented activities of RTI, Tablers organise their own fundraising events. The involvement, efforts and financial support that the Tablers have been extending, continue to be the primary source of fundraising for the RTI. Year after year, sustained efforts are put in to support the Table's community service programs through fundraising in various ways.
